MILLERSVILLE, MD – February 18, 2025 – Thanks to the generosity of Huggies and the National Diaper Bank Network, 200,000 diapers are on their way to help families in Anne Arundel County. This incredible donation supports Walk the Walk Foundation’s mission of ensuring that no parent has to choose between buying diapers and other basic necessities.
At Walk the Walk Foundation, we work alongside the National Diaper Bank Network and local agencies to distribute free diapers to low-income families. With the help of volunteers and generous donors, we provided over 400,000 diapers in 2024—an 81% increase from the previous year—to families facing diaper need in Anne Arundel County.

"Every parent deserves access to the support they need to ensure their child’s health." This marks the second time Huggies has provided such a significant donation to our foundation.
The Reality of Diaper Need
In Maryland, one in two families struggles to afford clean, dry diapers. With a baby needing approximately 7,000 diapers before potty training and no government assistance programs covering diaper costs, the expense—over $100 per month per child—places an immense financial strain on families. Additionally, three in five parents report missing work or school because they lack the diapers required for childcare.
